SIDERITE  Un-named lead (Pb) mine, Bristol, NH
5 mm field of view
Species:           SIDERITE
Locality:         Un-named lead (Pb) mine, Bristol, NH
Specimen Size: 5 mm field of view
Field Collected: Tom Mortimer
Catalog No.: u2563
Notes: Slow bubble formation was observed when a grain of this mineral was pushed into a drop of muriatic acid. This slow reaction indicates a carbonate (likely siderite) but not calcite or aragonite.
This crystal group is only 0.5 mm thick.

SIDERITE  Palermo Mine, Groton, NH
1.1 mm crystal, vertical.
Species:           SIDERITE
Locality:         Palermo Mine, Groton, NH
Specimen Size: 1.1 mm crystal, vertical.
Field Collected: From unsorted box of small chunks gifted by Bob Whitmore
